When we entered the store. Tom welcomed us very kindly. He was very professional with alot of knowledge. We did not feel any pressure in buying a chair. Tom was very patience with us. From the moment we decided to buy a chair. We felt very satisfied. I would very much be recommending buying a chair from The Modern Back.
Since we had the white glove service, we had to wait an extra 5-10 days for delivery and set up of our chair, everyone at Modern Back were extremely helpful.
My experience was great from the time I walked in the door. A very nice young man with a great personality greeted us and gave us a tour of his showroom and allowed us to test all the chairs on the floor at our leisure without any pressure to purchase. We have selected a chair that works for us and had it delivered within approx a week and a half. We love our chair and the rest is history. I would highly recommend the Modern Back and Tom Walls.
We rented a home up north for the summer and it had a massage chair in the home. We love the massage chair so much that when we got back to Sarasota, we started looking for a nice massage chair. Looked at some big box stores in the area, but wasn’t happy with delivery or really couldn’t try and demo the massage chairs. Even looked at a couple real small places that had one or two chairs and then we decided to go to Modern Back. Their showroom was awesome and Tom let us demo all the chairs we wanted to demo After five or six chairs we found the one we liked. They are white glove Delivery was awesome. If you’re even thinking about getting a massage chair, you need to go to Modern Back. they are A Plus 🤙
Called Modern Back for a part for an Ultra Comfort recliner I bought two years ago from their now closed Boynton Beach store. Even though they no longer carry the brand, they took care of contacting the manufacturer and arranged for the part to be sent to me. Part was received in a few days at no charge (still under warranty) and all is well. Excellent service from the company, and most specially by Ann-Marie Walls who assisted me with the request. Would buy from them again and recommend that others do so.

We have purchased two chairs from Tom Walls at Modern Back and could not be more pleased with the service and products. My husband practically lived in his Osaki Titan chair the last year and a half. It has been life changing. He just upgraded to the Luraco i9 Max and it truly is the ‘Rolls Royce’ of massage chairs and is already helping improve his health conditions. Tom made the entire process so easy and was incredibly helpful in guiding us to the right chair for his needs and arranging white glove installation. I could not recommend Modern Back more highly.
From my first email to The Modern Back early in the morning to our trip the next afternoon to the store in Sarasota, Tom was more helpful than I could have imagined. I didn't know what to expect as this was the first time I had "test driven" a massage chair, and Tom offered his advice to the newbie couple over the span of our 3.5 hour visit to his store and we never felt hurried, or burdensome. There's a lot to learn about these chairs and you're spending a significant amount of money- Tom understands this and treats you like VIPs. Honestly, it's been a month in our house now and everything he promised was true! You will not waste your time researching the right chair for you when you deal with The Modern Back. I am very satisfied with the sales process, delivery, assembly, and function. I called to check on a couple of matters (to press the top part of the foot rest to get your leg length assesment accurate, and to simply add a blanket between you and the chair to soften the massage) were answered promptly and effectively.
